Italia: land of wine
The Italian peninsula, with its 690,000 hectares/1,705,000 acres cultivated with vines, is the biggest wine producer in the world, with an average annual production of 60 million hectoliters/1.5 billion U.S. gallons.
The country is home for a large number of indigenous grape varieties, many of which are rarely to be found outside its borders.
The history of grape-growing in Italy dates back to the period around 1000 B.C., when the Greeks held sway over the Mediterranean basin and called this country Enotria Tellus, the land of wine.
The Romans, thanks to their vast conquests, spread the culture of wine throughout Europe.
Northern Italy produces a wide range of wine styles from the full-bodied tannic reds of Barolo to the delicate white wines of Soave. The central part of Italy produces refreshing white wines and premium full-bodied reds from both local and international grape varieties. The heat of southern Italy means that is best known for full-bodied red wines made from grape varieties such as Aglianico, Primitivo and Negroamaro, and also for perfumed whites made from Fiano.

An excellent Apulian Negroamaro and an exceptional Cesanese del Piglio lead the way to a well-structured project with a strong and decisive character...just like their wines.
We are only at the beginning of what will be a worthy representative of Made In Italy exclusivity and quality.

What a great project! Professional baseball players with Italian origins who select wines from their homeland for charity!
An excellent Cesanese del Piglio and a very territorial Negroamaro as first collection. Beautiful!
